I Found It For You Gong-Gong by Ren Peng
When you made a sacrifice
Those many years ago
You long sought for “the dream”.
What you found was violence.
A trespasser on a dreamland you were made to be
Till the moment your soul went home
And long after.
You remained unwelcome and unwanted
A stain upon the dreamland
I've longed to find this dreamland for you
To fulfill your departing wish.
Now I stand before our dreamland
The scene screams against the silence
This is the world you wished to find
This is the dream you left everything for
Here no hatred locks us inside
No fear follows us as we traverse
We are free here
The landscape welcomes us with open arms
I breathe it in and hold you close
I only wish you could see it too
But I know through my eyes,
You see it,
and through my lungs
you breathe in her freedom
