december by Èlyse Deering
winter is a fickle state of mind
when my body is most withered,
my bones are buried somewhere
beneath the snow and long dead bush.
my feet are black like the vulpine,
but it is because of the cold and
it is anything but gentle
it is anything but natural
i am decaying under the fresh plow
the streetlamps won’t find me here
past the midnight hour.
my tears have stopped rolling down my cheeks
and the snow keeps falling…
the snow keeps falling…
when my body is most withered,
my bones are buried somewhere
beneath the snow and long dead bush.
my feet are black like the vulpine,
but it is because of the cold and
it is anything but gentle
it is anything but natural
i am decaying under the fresh plow
the streetlamps won’t find me here
past the midnight hour.
my tears have stopped rolling down my cheeks
and the snow keeps falling…
the snow keeps falling…
