About Us

The Premise of Antipoetry Magazine

Antipoetry is a pipe dream that never died.
We are a literary magazine publishing new poems three times a year.
The work showcased here is meant to surprise, spark a reaction, and call to the broken parts in each of us, giving us comfort that nothing is truly perfect.
By elevating poems that help us see the beauty in the ugly and shine light into the dark crevices of the lovely, we hope to give a community to the writers and readers who feel pulled to such dualities.
We're glad you're here.

Founding Editor - Jeanna Paden

Picture
Jeanna Paden is a freelance writer, marketer, and poet living in Tennessee as well as the founding editor of Antipoetry Magazine. Her work has been published by Foothill: A Journal of Poetry, Her Culture, Pulp Poets Press, Okay Donkey, Red Mud Review, and others. She's an enneagram 1 who desperately wants to be a 5 and has mad scientist tendencies. She'd like you to know that nothing here is clear cut. Even the ugly is beautiful sometimes. Sometimes the lovely smells of rot. It's all welcome here.

You can read her work here and here.

Connect with her at on Twitter @TheHalfway3.
